Goldylost Hair started the way a lot of good things start — with a problem the founder had to solve for herself. Clementine spent ten years looking for a wig she could actually live in. When she couldn't find one, she decided to make it.

The Beginning

How It Started

I started losing my hair at sixteen. The hardest part wasn't just the loss — it was how few real solutions there were. So I turned to wigs, certain they'd give me my life back.

Ten years and a drawer full of unwearable wigs later, my savings were gone and my confidence was at its lowest. Every wig still looked like a wig.

I couldn't spend my life in something that didn't feel like me, so I set out to make exactly what I'd been searching for: a wig with not too much hair, in an ultra-fine texture that looked like it grew from my own scalp. I learned everything about what made a wig look natural, and I bought hair from all over the world — until I traveled to Brazil and found my dream ponytails. I created many prototypes until I finally had a wig I loved. The one that made me feel like me again.

When other women began reaching out with their own hair loss stories, I knew I had to help. That's how Goldylost was born.

I created Goldylost as a woman who understands hair loss firsthand — the heartbreak and desperate search for a solution. I built the brand I wish I'd had: female-owned, heart-led, and run by people who truly understand.

Because this was never just about wigs and toppers. It's about helping you feel beautiful and like yourself again. That's why every piece is made by hand by our small expert team with empathy and love.

We know what it feels like to stand in front of the mirror and not feel like yourself. So our mission is simple: to give you hair you don't have to think about. Hair that lets you laugh, hug your kids, and walk into a room without that quiet worry in the back of your mind.

That's why we've worked tirelessly to create wigs and toppers that truly look and feel like your own hair — right down to the details that only a woman who wears them herself would ever think to get right. Because I do wear them, I know what makes a piece feel natural, comfortable, and completely you. And that's exactly what we pour into every single one.

The Goldylost Difference

Southern Brazil — at the source.

Most wig hair comes from huge factories, where the hair is thick, strong, and no one really knows where it came from. That hair type never worked for us.

So Clementine flies to Curitiba, in Southern Brazil, and meets with her small hair seller in person. She hand-chooses the ponytails herself — the fine, soft textures that are truly beautiful, and the ones that become a Goldylost piece.

More than a wig store.

Goldylost has never been just a wig store — we're a brand, and a community, built around the women we serve. We share free, honest education so you can learn everything about wigs and toppers, make confident choices, and never feel alone or get scammed online.

There are so many ways to be part of it. Our private Facebook group is a place to meet other women and share your story. Through our GoldyGlow Challenge, women open up about their hair loss journeys in their own words. At our free Wig & Wine evenings, women with hair loss meet in person and make real, lasting friendships. And at our educational events, you can come and learn to wash, style, and care for your hair.

We also offer washing, styling, and repair services to give your wig a longer, more beautiful life. And we're proud to sponsor hair loss charities and show up at hair loss events — because for us, this has always been about so much more than hair.
