What events does Goldylost run?
Community is a real passion of ours — helping women with hair loss feel less alone is at the heart of everything we do — so we run a few kinds of events. Our pop-up events travel to different cities, giving you the chance to see and feel the hair, try on wigs and toppers, and get expert one-on-one help, even if you don't live near one of our boutiques. And our Wig & Wine socials are something really special — relaxed, intimate evenings where women with hair loss come together over a glass of wine, try on hair, share their stories, and make real, lasting friendships. They're warm, private, and so much fun. Both are a beautiful way to feel supported by people who truly understand. Keep an eye on our website and socials for the next event near you.
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just turn up?
We do require booking for all of our events, as spots are limited and they tend to sell out. Some events, like our pop-ups, also have a small ticket price. There's a good reason for this: our pop-ups take a lot of preparation, including international travel for our team, venue costs, and more, and the small fee helps ensure every spot goes to a woman genuinely interested in Goldylost. Booking ahead simply means we can give you the warm, personal experience you deserve, and that there's a place saved just for you.
Is there a cost to attend?
It depends on the event. Our socials events are usually free, but pop-ups may have a small ticket price, which helps cover the real costs of putting them on — venue, travel, and all the little touches that make the day special. The fee is always modest, and it ensures we can give you a warm, personal experience rather than a crowded one. Any ticket details will be listed when you book. Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to a friend or family member.
Where and when are your next events being held?
Our pop-up locations and dates change throughout the year, so the best place to find what's coming up is our website and our social channels — that's where we announce every event first. If you'd like to be the first to know when we're coming to a city near you, join our mailing list or follow us on Instagram, and we'll keep you posted. You can always reach out and recommend your home town too.
Can I try on wigs and toppers at the event?
Yes, absolutely — that's one of the best parts! You'll be able to see, feel, and try on our wigs and toppers in person, which is so helpful when you're choosing color, length, and style. There's nothing quite like seeing it on yourself in the mirror.
Will I be able to get a one-on-one consultation, or is it a group setting?
A little of both, depending on the event. Our events are intimate and personal, and you'll always have the chance for dedicated one-on-one time with one of our specialists to talk through your hair and what's right for you. The lovely thing is you also get to be among other women who understand exactly what you're going through, which so many of our guests say is the highlight.
Can I buy a wig or topper on the day, or do I order afterward?
Both options are available. If you fall in love with something on the day, you're welcome to purchase it, and our team can help you place an order for the perfect piece, size, and color if you'd prefer to do that afterward. There's never any pressure — we're simply there to help you find what feels right, in your own time.
Can I bring a friend or support person with me?
Of course. We know how much it helps to have someone in your corner, and you're always welcome to bring a friend, partner, or support person along. Just let us know when you book so we can make sure there's room for them too.
I'm nervous and haven't told many people about my hair loss — is the event private and discreet?
Yes, completely. We understand how personal this is, and your privacy is something we hold with great care. Our events are warm, intimate, and judgment-free, filled with women who understand exactly how you feel, and many of them arrived just as nervous as you. You're safe here, and you only ever share as much as you're comfortable with.
What if I can't make it to a pop-up near me — do you offer virtual consultations instead?
Yes! If there isn't an event near you, you don't miss out. We offer free virtual consultations, so you can get the same expert, one-on-one guidance from the comfort of your own home, wherever you are in the world. You can also visit us any time at our boutiques in Sydney or Doral, Florida.
